Welcome. Yes, that photograph belongs to me - Gerald Davies. I currently work in the Gravitational Physics Group, at the School of Physics and Astronomy, Cardiff University, in the UK.
Specifically, I am employed as a Linux Systems Administrator with the main emphasis of my work centered around the support of Linux HTC and HPC Beowulf clusters based at Cardiff University. The work also includes the support of Grid computing tools, such as LDR.
Previously, I worked for a start-up known as Appliance Studio, based at Bristol University, UK. I will end this historical insight into my career here otherwise I will go on forever!
As you might have guessed, I can mostly be found tinkering about with many of the UNIX-like operating systems, such as Linux, FreeBSD, OpenBSD and OS X.
